Bonne Annee! We hope everyone had a nice New Year... Our new year was quite snowy and of course we went out skiing.

Wow, snow chains are a blast from the past. I remember having to use them when we were growing up in St. Louis. Surely snow tires have hit Geneva?!

Switzerland requires snow tires on all cars driving in the mountains during the winters. You're also required to have snow chains in the case of really icy and snowy conditions. We've had to use our set of snow chains twice so far. We've been told that it has been snowier than usual this winter. Lucky us!

ReplyDeleteI think they're alos required at certain times in the CA mountains, like around Tahoe or Yosemite.
