Gruyere

After a quick trip to Ikea to pick up some household essentials, we hit the road for Gruyere where they make...Gruyere cheese! It is also the home of an amazing 13th century castle. The town looks like something out of a fairy tale, positioned on a hill and surrounded by mountains. After touring the town and castle we stopped off at the cheese factory, where we saw cheese, tasted cheese, and purchased cheese. Yum! Here are a few photos from our day...

A view of the castle gardens...

Luke enjoying the same view as the Counts of Gruyere.

Katie sampling some water from the fountain of youth.

Stellar views...

  1. mmmmm...makes me hungry for cheese! Is that the same thing as "swiss" cheese?
