After test driving many cars we finally decided on this little teal Mazda (10 years old, but only 20,000km!). It certainly is nice to be able to run around town with a car. It will also enable us to get into the mountains!We rented snowshoes ("raquettes" in french) this evening and plan to venture out into the Jura Mountains tomorrow. The guy at the store told us to be careful of avelanches. (Apparently they are not uncommon in this neck of the woods.) But since this is our first attempt ever at snowshoeing, we are going to keep it low key. Stay tuned for pictures of our snowshoing adventure!
